A: Our breaded pork tenderloins are best deep fried the old-fashioned way. Heat oil to 350 degrees and fry until tenderloins are golden brown and float to the top of the oil. That normally takes just a few minutes. Serve on a bun with ketchup, mustard, lettuce, onions and pickles or any of your favorite condiments. Enjoy!

Q: Can I cook the breaded pork tenderloins in the oven
Answered by Amana Meat Shop, February 19, 2014 at 03:49:12 PM EST.
A: We recommend deep-fat frying as the best way to prepare, but if you want to try the oven...brush them with oil and bake at 350 degrees until brown - approximately 20 minutes. We hope you are enjoying your Iowa Tenderloins!

A: We would bake them frozen, no need to thaw first.

Q: I am from Omaha, raised on pork tenderloin sandwiches from "Bronco's". I have tried to find a substitute pork tenderloin for the past 30 years since joining the military & moving away. Is your product's taste similar?
Answered by Amana Meat Shop, May 12, 2014 at 01:48:20 PM EDT.
A: Thanks for your inquiry. We have never been to Bronco's in Omaha, so we don't know how to compare the two, but if we had to guess, we would say yes, they are similar - especially when deep fried like you would order in a restaurant. If you have more questions, please give us a call at 800-373-6328.

Q: I'm from Davenport, Iowa and we could get the pork tenderlions at the dairy queen. they were thin and bigger then the bun. Are yours like that?
Answered by Amana Meat Shop, March 29, 2013 at 12:22:42 PM EDT.
A: No, the tenderloins should not be thawed prior to cooking. Enjoy them!
Asked by Nan Mercurio, July 14, 2013 at 12:31:30 PM EDT.
Q: I have bought others before and have been disappointed because they appear to be shredded and formed pork rather than the pork loin itself. When you say tenderized, do you mean pounded out or go through the mechanical tenderizer? I am from Iowa and long for a decent pork tenderloin sandwich. Thanks
Answered by Amana Meat Shop, July 17, 2013 at 05:22:54 PM EDT.
A: Thanks for your inquiry! Our pork tenderloins are very meaty. I think what you are describing are "pork fritters", but ours are real pork and not shredded or formed with anything. This is one of our most popular items and we ship all over the country--too many for us to tenderize by hand. We hope you will give them a try!

Q: Can these breaded pork tenderloins be used to make wienerschnitzel?
Answered by Amana Meat Shop, June 1, 2016 at 09:57:14 AM EDT.
A: Thanks for your inquiry. While these tenderloins are pork not veal, it is similar to wienerschnitzel in that it is thinner and has light breading. They are great to eat with or without the bun!

Q: How long can I keep these in the freezer before they must be eaten?
Answered by Amana Meat Shop, July 15, 2016 at 10:39:01 AM EDT.
A: We recommend up to three months or so for the best flavor and texture. If you think it will be longer than three months, we suggest placing tenderloins in individual freezer bags when you receive them.

Q: Are your pork tenderloins heavily breaded? We have had some where all you could taste was the breading.
Answered by Amana Meat Shop, November 25, 2017 at 03:50:47 PM EST.
A: Thank you for your inquiry, No, our tenderloins are not heavily breaded. We raised the weight on them last year to 7 oz. each so could have more meat and less breading.
