I live in a grocery-store desert off the Chesapeake Bay. I remembered ordering gifts from Amana when I lived in Iowa. I then ordered meat and cheese from the Amana Meat Shop. I ordered twice. Both times the food came on time in excellent shape. The first time I ordered smoked cheese as an add-on item. I forgot how awesome it was--and reordered three more packages! I ordered the cheese Tuesday and received it yesterday (Thursday) from Iowa to Virginia in less than 48 hours! At the same time I ordered groceries for pick up 20 miles away. I cannot get it until Sunday evening at 7! Three more days than it took to get my Amana food...

The meat has a nice subtle smokey flavor but not over powering. The cheddar cheese was creamier than expected with a nice flavor with a hint of smokey flavor.

I purchased several items from the shop including ham, cheese and corn nuggets. All of the items shipped on time and all looked great except the smoked cheese which looked old as it had crystals on the outside. Have not however tried it yet. The hams are always wonderful.

Amana Response: Thanks for your comments! The crystals on the outside of the smoked cheddar are a characteristic of the smoked cheese. It is not old, but it is simply the salt used in the smoking process of this cheese. Some pieces of this cheese have more salt crystals showing than others. We hope you have tried it and are enjoying it!

Was looking for some Smoked Cheddar. I found it here along with a Double smoked Summer sausage. This is REAL 100% smoked Cheddar, not a blend with Cheddar and something else, nor was it Proccessed Cheese food. It was packed well. Although the ice pack was not frozen solid, the Cheese and Summer Sausage were both nice and cool when it was unpacked. I thought it was a bit pricey, but I got what I wanted.

My order was filled quickly and it arrived in a great packing container that kept the food perfect! One item that I ordered was out of stock and I received a courtesy call from Amana so I could order a replacement item. All the items are tasty and I will order items from them again.

Enjoying the beef jerky and summer sausages. The smoked cheese has a white covering on it. Have not tried it yet.
