When I make it it is a bit thinner and the taste is a bit different because I use a different breading technique. But Amana is jus as good with zero effort. Now, Indiana bided tenderloin sandwich (the best) is available any night of the week with little effort.

I grew up in the Midwest where breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches were delicious and not uncommon. After moving to the great State of Texas, it was difficult to find a restaurant that could duplicate such a sandwich with the same wonderful taste. That is until I found the pork tenderloins sold by Amanda. Eating one of these pork tenderloins brings back the memory of having these in the Midwest with the same marvelous taste. Even my wife (a native Texan) finds these to be scrumptious. Good job Amana!

I am from the Midwest and nothing like a great tenderloin sandwich like up there! They cannot be found in my area so decided to order from one of my favorite places! My order just needed a bit more dry ice in it, Amana meat shop your the best!!!!

Amana Response: Thank you so much, Julie! Summertime shipping is a bit tricky as the the tenderloin is pounded out thinner before breading. We enclose the maximum amount of dry ice allowable in each box and as long as your tenderloins are cool to the touch, you are good to freeze until you are ready to fix a yummy Iowa tenderloin to enjoy!

I ordered these and some bacon for a different kind of Father's Day gift. My Dad is from up North and love tenderloins so I thought it would be a fun surprise since you can't really get them in NC. I had ordered a few weeks before Father's Day and to be there mid-week. They got there on time and arrived at his door. He said that they were really tasty and him and my Mom had them for dinner on Father's Day. The customer service was great. Dad also really enjoyed the bacon. Will definitely order again for special occasions and surprises!

We are originally from Illinois and were really missing the giant pork tenderloin sandwiches we used to get there. Couldn't find them anywhere in Arizona. We were familiar with the Amana Colonies and their quality products so when we saw that the meat shop offered the breaded pork tenderloins we immediately ordered some. We were a little worried because we are in Arizona with triple digit heat but they were well packed on dry ice and came with 2 day delivery. And the tenderloins did not disappoint. Very large and meaty. We will definitely be ordering more!

This is the first time I have purchased your product. I am so amazed at how fast and shipped this was. The pork fritters were still frozen when arrived. These are the most delicious and size of portion is unbelievable. You can't find this in all of California. Being from Kansas moving to CA. some 30 years ago. I had to give up about the first four of them to find the right cooking method. The air fryer and the table-top oven would bake but not brown them. So pan frying was the answer for an adequate browning. One tenderloin is big enough for two people. And they are thick enough that you get your money's worth. Are a little salty so a little pepper works perfectly.

I have eaten pork tenderloins in recent years, but most were thin without mush taste. The ones we cooked up for the holidays from Amana were more like the ones we had growing up (decades ago), as they were meatier and had a great taste. I will get them again.

Good value taste good. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars, cooking instructions. The only instructions they give you is to deep fry. I baked mine, and tasted fine. But they do not give you instruction on how to do it, temp and time. Give me options.

Amana Response: Steve thank you for your comments. We do have alternative methods we can suggest for preparing them, although we do stand by the deep fry method for best results. We will email those to you!

We really like these breaded cutlets. Call them what you like, schnitzel or chicken fried, they are are very good as an entree smothered in country gravy or in a sandwich with lettuce, onion, and mayo. Serving is sized well and easy to prepare. Deep fried or browned in a skillet, they're crispy and have a good portion of tenderized pork. We enjoy them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner; they're that versatile. Just be careful to not overcook.

Omg your pork tenderloins are simply the best! Will be ordering again soon. The only thing is that when they arrived all of the dry ice was gone. But thank God the food was still frozen. I live in Arizona and I'm just glad I was home at the time of delivery because if it would've stayed outside in our heat they would've started to cook out there.

A tenderloin is one of the first things they want when they visit because they can't find them where they now live. Having moved from Kansas City, MO to Southern CA to Northern CA to the Litchfield Hills of CT we have truly missed devouring this delicious sandwich. The quality of meat is FANTASTIC as it should be. Amana Meat Shop & Smokehouse has a great thing going and I will DEFINITELY be reordering. I highly recommend you try this product if you haven't already and just cook per their instructions. I haven't tried any of AMSS other items but from the reviews I'm sure everything is well worth it. I've already passed on AMSS website to friends.

Going to the Amana Colonies for a special meal or trip was always special in my family--both when still at home and after moving away. Pork tenderloin is the absolute best in Iowa, whether you're at the state fair or eating out. I decided to treat my husband to the Amana pork tenderloins. After ordering I was worried about the shipping to our 100 degree summer temps. No worries--the packing was perfect as were the tenderloins. Instructions say to deep fry, which I haven't done in years. A light spray release and oil in the pan worked perfectly. Absolutely delicious. Thank you!!

We moved from Kansas City in 1975 and every time we went back we would go to our favorite drive-in that has port tenderloin sandwiches. We so missed them and figured that they were history since no one on the west coast fixed these sandwiches. Then we found Amana Meat Shop and for the past several years have been getting shipments to our door in their coolers with dry ice. I even had a shipment in July (110 degrees here and still frozen when we received them) and love them. I have recommended this company to many of our former friends too. Great service and always arrived exactly when Vicki (the lady who we order from on the phone says.) We recently ordered pork loin chops and a full size honey ham for easter. All arrived like we were told and great flavor and taste. You will not go wrong with this company! Perfect for our "stay at home Nevada" shopping delivery.

Growing up in Iowa, loved pork tenderloins. Since they are not available on the west coast we really missed them. Amana's are very good and we enjoy the ability to have them on occasion. My only concern with our recent order is that 3 (of the 20) were broke in half.

Just a little feedback on what I ordered. They are not what I expected for Iowa tenderloins. Not much flavor, tough meat, and not that good overall. I lived in Iowa and visited Amana many times and it's always been a good experience with exceptional food. I had hoped for a taste of Iowa that I could reorder and try other items. Just overall a disappointment and not what I expected.

The pork tenderloin were right on target and the only issue that might have risen was when I opened the box there was very little dry ice left. However, the the produce was still frozen, so it all good . Could I ask for more dry ice to be put in when I place my next order??

Amana Response: Thanks for your comments! There will be very little or no dry ice left in your package when you receive them. We don't want you to have to deal with a hazardous material and it will sublimate in approximately 48 hours plus or minus depending on outside temperatures. In the summertime, it definitely sublimates faster. We put in as large a dry ice as we are permitted, buy yes, please indicate on your order as large of dry ice as possible, and that will help our shipping department take an extra look at that for you. We look forward to your next order!

These are simple put the best pork tenderloins on earth! They are so easy to prepare in a skillet with a little oil, about 5 minutes later you have heaven in your mouth! I love when Amana Meats runs a bogo special, that's when I really stock up on these tenderloins, they are awesome! All ten of the pork tenderloin patties were broken into two pieces when I got them. They taste good, but they're broken and therefore they are difficult to cook and eat.

We have found only one restaurant in Tucson Arizona that has tenderloin sandwiches. They are ok but not like you get in Iowa. We were happy when a friend ordered these from the Amana Colonies, as we are very familiar with the colonies and Iowa tenderloins. These are some of the best tenderloins that we have had. If you are not interested in making a sandwich cut them into strips and dip them in ranch dressing. Makes a great snack.

As great as your tenderloins are, my significant other suggests that we learn how to BAKE them, but there are no instructions in your brochure for doing so. Is it possible? Please let all us Pork Tenderloin fans know.........Thanx

Amana Response: We do recommend frying in oil, but you could try this to bake them: Bake the tenderloins in a pre-heated oven at 375 degrees. Brush the tenderloins liberally with oil and place on a wire rack or cookie sheet. Bake for approximately 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, turning over half way through the cooking time.

These tenderloins were better than anticipated. They were twice as large as a bun, breading was perfect, tenderloin was exactly that: tender, no fat, no tough sections. These are better than any memory you may have. You will need a large fryer to prepare the tenderloins. My brother sent these to our family as a surprise. I would recommend while delivery in the state of Arizona in the summer, you do not use UPS. We made arrangements to make sure we were home on delivery days. UPS loaded my order onto the truck at 4:30 am and weren't delivered until after 11:00. There was absolutely no dry ice in the cooler and some of the meat had thawed. Out here, UPS doesn't ring the bell so they were just left on our porch. Fortunately I was tracking the package from work and notified my husband. Other than that, the tenderloins are fabulous.

From the time my Dad married my Mom in 1943, he promised to take her "back home" to Illinois where she was from every year. She had come to Washington, DC to be a government girl straight out of high school. It was our vacation all my life, visiting her large family. My Dad and I looked for any chance we could find to get pork tenderloins, a treat we can't get out here. I did the same any time I took my Mom back during my adult years. Now I have found Amana and ordered tenderloins and surprised my 93-year-old mother with a tenderloin sandwich on Easter. I intend to do the same more often. We had a wonderful lunch that day. My husband just returned from a visit to his childhood home of Davenport, Iowa He always looks forward to having as many pork tenderloin sandwiches as he can fit in during a one week stay. This year he came home disappointed. They went out and had pork tenderloin sandwiches in 2 different restaurants and all of them used ground pork instead of the true pork tenderloin. So I decided to do something about it and Google led me to Amana Meats.

I immediately ordered 30 pork tenderloins and had them sent out here to California. They arrived as stated in 2 days via UPS. Even though the dry ice was gone they were still well frozen. The very same night we made the most delicious pork tenderloin sandwiches my husband had ever eaten. Instead of ham this year for Easter we are going to have pork tenderloins.

One of our biggest treats growing up in Iowa was going to the Drive-in restaurant and getting the big pork tenderloin sandwiches. We've been all over the country and have found nothing comparable. Even buying whole pork loins and hammering them out ourselves was not the same. We finally found Amana Meat Shop and Smoke House on-line. I called for information and made an order. We tried at them our first chance and they were everything the customer service rep said they would be. These were the most tender pork tenderloins we've experience since leaving Iowa 45 years ago. Every year we send tenderloins at the 4th of July to our family in Medford, OR. This year I found Amana Meatshop and placed an order for 2 boxes of the 7/oz twenty count tenderloins to be shipped. They shipped and arrived exactly on the days as promised. The feedback was unlike any other year since we started shipping them in 2005. The entire family raved that these were, hands down, the best and requested that this be the "go to" place for all future shipments. This request, and the rave reviews, came from both our Iowa born and raised family as well as our family members who did not grow up in Iowa eating different tenderloins over the years, as they also noted the difference in taste, size, and meat vs breading ratio. The tenderloins are delicious and we love them, however, every order that we have placed, they have arrived broken in pieces. We would like to recommend that you pack them with additional cushion to eliminate this.

I grew up in the Midwest and loved bread pork tenderloin sandwiches...Now, living in the West, they are nearly impossible to find...So, I took a chance and ordered bread pork tenderloins from Amana and they are wonderful; easy to prepare and absolutely resolve my need for that home style, great tasting sandwich.
Even if you live where you can get them at a restaurant; these are probably better, and undoubtedly less expensive.
If you love breaded pork tenderloins, these will make you very happy!
I will buy these again and again...

As misplaced Iowans, we enjoy being able to have our tenderloin sandwich in our own home here in the desert. Don't have a deep fryer but works well in a bit of oil in a skillet. Thawed first of course. If you have a better way, let me know.

I received in about 4 days. Arrived well frozen. Patties were bigger across than I expected but a little thin. Good flavor but not as good as the Indiana version as they are much thicker and more flavor probably because thicker meat and breading but pretty much the same kind of flavor which I can't seem to make myself.

These tenderloins taste just like I remember enjoying when I lived in the Midwest. What a treat. Easy to fix and good to eat. The meat is tender and not too thick, so they cook quickly, with just the right crunch. Whether as a sandwich or on the plate, they are really good.
