Smoked Turkey is yummy--tender and moist. I'd order again and plan to more often, even if it's not a holiday and I do t have extra guests! I could (and did) eat it every day for a week as my guests got waylaid due to virus.

This was one of my first experiences with smoked turkey and ham, not to mention cheese and bacon. My wife was nervous that the meat would 1) Arrive on time as promised and 2) That it would still be good. In spite of those concerns, the food arrived within the two day guarantee (albeit late evening) and it was delicious. The smoked cheese was new to me, and after a few bites (I didn't wish to be hasty), I found myself enjoying it. I can't wait to pair the cheese with some Ritz crackers, if the cheese endures our breakfast attentions. As for the smoked turkey, it was succulent and tasty. I admit to smothering it a bit with some giblet gravy, but it's deliciousness came through in spite of the gravy. As for the ham, it was no Honeybaked Ham. Instead, the inherent taste of the ham was allowed to arise, like smoke you might say. I found it delicious cold or warm, and look forward to bathing it in egg yolk for breakfast.

I am grateful that Amana Meat Shop did such a nice job with the food and the package they sent us. You have convinced my wife that your products are tasty, and that was a greater challenge than any other. After all, I am but a husband trying to lighten the load on a busy day, and Amana made Thanksgiving meal a little less difficult a job for her.

These were gifts but I am familiar with the quality of Amana products. That is why I order for friends.

Our Amana Hams and Smoked Turkeys are fully cooked and ready to eat. We recommend that the turkey be served at room temperature, but can be re-heated and still be delicious. Simply follow these instructions for re-heating for the best results.
To serve warm: if frozen thaw in refrigerator, remove packaging and place on a rack in a shallow pan or roaster with a small amount of water. Separate pans are best but one pan would work. Cover with foil or lid. Place in a pre-heated 325° oven. Bake approximately 14-15 minutes per pound for ham, 12 minutes per pound for the turkey, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°. (You may bathe the ham and turkey with liquid from the pan during the heating process for maximum flavor and to retain moisture.) Remove foil 3/4 the way through the cooking time so browning can occur. Basting with the ham with your favorite sauce is always an option. We recommend our Horseradish Jelly - delicious! Call to order.
The ham and the turkey may be stored in the freezer in their original packaging for up the three months.
*SPECIAL NOTE: Your smoked turkey may have a pink cast when sliced. This is a harmless characteristic of smoked poultry.
