We purchased the Premium Beef Steak Combo (with an add-on of bacon). They arrived in a sealed foam container -perfect temperature. The steaks were incredibly tender and delicious and the bacon was also amazing! To be honest, I was completely surprised as I have tried ordering steaks from other places and was disappointed in the quality every time. We will definitely order again!

I have ordered the steak combo, breaded pork tenderloins, and am expecting BBQ pork ribs any day. I grew up in Iowa and have lived in many states, but you cannot compare Iowa meat. Even living in "cattle country", the beef is not as tender or flavorful. Thanks, Amana Meat Shop, for being available to all.

Love the convenience of shipping this gift...wish I had thought of it earlier so it would have arrived before Christmas. They can't seem to find good steaks in the stores and are excited to enjoy these when we come down. Bonus, the kids love the dry ice!
Filet and Strip Steak Review

I purchased the Filet and Strip Steak Combo. Both cuts of meat are truly excellent. I had a hot charcoal fire, on a baby Weber grill, and cooked a strip and a filet 5 minutes on each side. The lid was on the grill and the steaks actually came out rare to med-rare after 10 minutes. They were terrific. The meat was slightly frozen. If they had been thawed, I would have gone 3.5 minutes - 4 minutes per side.

I purchased this gift box for my son who was celebrating his birthday and Father's Day. He said the filets were the best he has ever had, very tender and tasty. I would certainly spend the money all over again with a glowing review like that!
NY Strip & Filet sampler

I had been purchasing steaks from another firm and have noticed a decline in their quality. I received an Amana catalog and decided to give it a try. Normally I don't care for NY Strip steaks but since it was part of the package I got them. The NY Strips were OK, not our favorite. They had quite a bit of gristle and were on the tough side and not much flavor. The filet mignon on the other hand were very good. They were tender and juicy and I will place another order to try them again.
Premium Beef Steak Combo

If your steaks are frozen, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then bring them to room temperature before grilling. Heat your grill to medium high. Brush the steaks on both sides with oil and season liberally with your favorite seasonings. Place the steaks on the grill and cook until slightly charred, 4 to 5 minutes. Turn the steaks over and continue to grill 3 to 5 minutes for medium-rare, 5 to 7 minutes for medium, or 8 to 10 minutes for medium-well. (We recommend using a meat thermometer to check internal temperatures: 135° for medium rare, 140° for medium, or 150° for well done.) Allow you steaks to rest 5-10 minutes before serving to reabsorb their juices.
A pre-heated oven broiler may also be used, following the same basic guidelines as for grilling. *Note: Cooking times may vary per oven. When using an electric range, leave door ajar when broiling. With gas ranges, the door should remain closed.

Steaks may be frozen in their original packaging for up to three months.
