The bacon is very lean so does not leave a lot of grease after cooking. I had to add extra fat to cook my eggs. Not necessarily a bad thing but if you save your bacon grease like I do for frying other things can be a downside. The flavor is good so I would order as an add on when purchasing other products but wouldn't get on line just to purchase bacon alone.

I didn't know the bacon was going to be paper thing, relegating it to be cooked on low, low heat in order to not shrink to nothing or become rock hard crisp. Lesson learned. It tastes great and cooks up well like I said, on low, low heat.

This was my second purchase of pork tenderloins & bacon and I have to say they are the best. My UPS guy orders them now ( after I bragged about how good they are )and my daughter from Colorado says she will start ordering, too. We use them for sandwiches, pork parmesan and pork tenderloin with fried potatoes, saurkraut and gravy. You won't be disappointed.

I recently placed an order for numerous meat and cheese items for Christmas, for us and to send to my son in California. I was very pleased with the Excellent Service, the Fast Delivery and the very high Quality Products. Amana is far better for sausage, cheese and other such items for Holiday company or sending to those that cannot be home for Christmas than all of the other catalog companies. I visited the facility in August. It is wonderful, friendly and a high quality facility...with reasonable prices. I will always order from Amana.

Stovetop method: Place bacon in a cold pan. Turn on heat and simmer low and slow, turning once to brown both sides. Cooking times will vary depending on how you prefer your bacon. Less for chewy, a bit longer for crispy.
