We received this gift from my sister and brother-in-law. It was very unexpected! When I noticed it was a "bone-in" ham, I expected a large bone for a large ham. I was so wrong! After our meal, I started to remove the leftovers from the bone. I didn't think I would ever stop cutting more and yet more ham off the bone! I called my husband to the kitchen twice to show him how much ham I was removing! About a pound of slices are in the freezer for making sandwiches or for breakfast. Oh, the bone is in the freezer, too, for a future base for soup! I don't think we will ever have a ham from anywhere else! The best ham anyone at my dining room table has ever had! Thank you!

Gift package to my son in CA. He was surprised that the meat was not in dry ice for shipping. Is this common practice?

Family Sampler Special Gift

I received the family sampler as a gift from a colleague and since the ham was so big, I decided to bring it to work and share with my co-workers. Everyone said the ham was delicious! My husband and I have eaten some of the smoked sausage and it had a wonderful flavor and texture. I have not tried the bacon yet, but I'm sure it will be fabulous just like the ham. What's not to love about bacon! Great gift!
