My biggest complaint about most ham is that it is too salty - this is not and allows the true flavor of ham to shine through. My father-in-law ordered one for Christmas dinner and my oldest daughter said immediately that she wanted the same kind for her birthday dinner in March. I think we have a new tradition in our family! It is a bit pricey, but it is worth it for special occasions.

I ordered a bone-in 7-9 lb. ham for Christmas. It arrived as expected a few days before Christmas packaged well and sat in my fridge until the big day. It warmed nicely in the oven over several hours. I did end up receiving an 8 lb. ham, which fed 10 adults with plenty of leftovers. I froze the leftover ham and the bone to make soup later this winter. I highly recommend ordering your ham from the Amana Meat Shop!

Although I have never been disappointed in any of the products I have ordered from Amana Meat Shop, their ham is amazing. I have eaten it side by side with another ham from a local store and it just tastes different. Such quality and they ship fast or on date requested. I've never had a late item.

This ham was absolutely delicious. I ordered the 14-16 pound ham that I warmed up in a Nesco. With 13 hungry people, there was plenty to go around, for seconds as well. I would definitely order again. It was mouth-watering good. We did have leftovers, however, because our refrigerator broke down that weekend, I temporarily placed them outside. Our Border Collie, Bridget, found the ham very tasty as well. She had to sleep in the garage (she had a warm bed) as we were afraid she would get sick. She didn't.

I could not believe this meat -- it was so tender, so flake off the bone, so delicious, just breathtaking. I would happily order from this company again. In fact, I'm likely to order from them for major holiday events as the meat is absolutely worth the price. I roasted it with a balsamic sauce and it was just heaven for our guests.

Naturally lean and then very well trimmed, this perfectly smoked ham was delicious to the bone. Our family greatly enjoyed the slabs of meat trimmed off for Thanksgiving diner, then the sandwiches and casseroles following, eventually leading to (my favorite) a most excellent pea soup flavored with the rind (removed) and loaded with chunks of ham. Thank you to the all who raised, butchered, cured and smoked this ham. Never found one this good at a grocery store.

I purchased the smoked bone in ham. It was truly outstanding! I covered it in brown sugar, drizzled maple syrup over the top followed by pineapple juice. I then covered and heated in oven 2 hrs at 300. Then my husband sliced it and we placed on warm in crock pot. Company raved and we gave them Amana website. Nothing like Amana meats!

I'm relatively new to Iowa and was in looking around for a good 9 to 10 pound ham. I'm not really high on grocery store hams.
Came across your site and found the smokes hams you offer. Ordered your 9 to 10 pound bone-in ham.
Easter day I hickory smoked the ham at a low temperature.
Served up the results to family with comments like, best ham I have ever had!
Half of what was left after dinner went home with family, and the ham bone also went home for pea soup.
I will not be waiting till next Easter to order another ham from you folks!!

I love the horseradish that comes with it. I mix some with mayo, perfect dip for the ham. There were also smoked sausage and we enjoyed those too.

I purchased hams for all of my siblings for Christmas. I was lucky enough to be invited for Sunday dinner to my brother's when he served the ham. It was fantastic, and all of his family (he has 5 kids) thought the same. When I returned to our home in wisconsin, I told my husband we had to order one for ourselves, and the ham we received did not disappoint. Juicy and flavorful, we ate it as a dinner, had it with eggs, put it in burgundy beef stew, and had delicious ham sammies. Do I sound as if I loved it? Well, yes I did!

It probably didn't need it, but since we had a mild New Year's Day, I put this ham on the Traeger smoker at 325 for the recommended 14-15 minutes per pound. I think I died and went to ham heaven. It may have been the best ham I've had in my life! I can still smell it on my fingers as I type this. Also, the Amana horseradish sauce was perfect with our sauerkraut balls. We received this ham as a gift, but I'm sure we'll be ordering again for Easter.

I often make a pineapple sauce to pour over the ham, but this product needs nothing added. It was lean, not at all salty (a good thing) and tender. We have done Hams for Holidays for many years. The smoked bone in ham we had for Christmas is by far the best ham we have ever had. The smoke level was excellent, along with the tenderness and moisture. To heat the ham, we place it on a rack in a shallow pan, with a little ham stock in the bottom, cover with parchment paper, the foil, warmed at 325. Came out perfect, it was the most delicious ham we have had to date. Definitely a 5 star product.

For years we have wanted to try an Amana smoked ham for the holidays, but have opted not to because of the approximate $20 shipping cost to AZ. (Instead we have purchased a spiral cut Kirkland ham at Costco for under $20.) This year we decided to spend the extra $ and ordered a half bone in ham (7-9 #s). The sturdy packaged ham arrived on time. We didn't warm the entire ham at once because there are only 2 of us; instead sliced off individual pieces and warmed up in aluminum foil. The ham was fantastic, delicious, mouth watering, perfectly smoked; just the best ham we have ever had! We will be able to eat off this ham for several weeks, and then plan to use the bone for ham and bean soup. We will certainly be ordering more products from Amana in the future, pay the shipping charges, and continue to enjoy a superior product.

Ordered the 2 - 9 lb. Bone in ham packs for Easter. As we are sheltering at home with COVID-19 rules her in CA I was able to supply main course for Easter Dinner for both my son and daughter's families. They were so good, I reordered so they could have one in freezer as we continue staying at home policy. We like to heat the ham on the charcoal barbecue using indirect heat with Sweet Bobby Ray's Mustard Barbecue sauce as a glaze.

There is nothing in the world like an Amana ham! I'll eat other hams, but I will always be thinking "this isn't anything like what Amana makes." Before I discovered that Amana shipped, I had to rely on the kindness of friends and relatives who always knew to bring me an Amana ham when they visited. I once had my sister talk a long haul truck driver into bringing me a ham - I met him at a truck stop. He thought we were crazy - that is until he tasted the ham hiomself. Pretty sure he's a convert.

We have been ordering a bone-in ham for our New Year's Day buffet for several years and it has been a consistently delicious popular item on the table. It is not overly salty as many smoked hams can be, and it is never dry. This year we ordered one for Easter as well and it did not disappoint! You can freeze the bone with a bit of meat on it for use in making a fine soup later, too. The bacons are flavorful and meaty, too -highly recommended.

My wife and I ordered the 7-9lbs Bone in Ham and it was amazing. I smoked (Cherry, Apple and Maple wood) the ham for a couple hours as it sat in a liquid of Apple Juice, Mustard, Maple Syrup and Apple Cider Vinegar. The glaze I made was Brown Sugar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Spicy Brown Mustard, and Dr. Pepper. It came out amazing. But I guess when you start with such a great product, it's pretty touch to mess it up. Thanks for making our Easter a memorable one! Will be ordering next year as well

Way back in 1979 my father-in-law received a ham as a gift from the company he was working for. We all had a Christmas dinner that day that would never be forgotten. The ham was a melt in your mouth most flavorful ham we had ever eaten. We were never able to find out where the ham came from. My in-laws past on, I have been searching for a ham that would be half as good since. I tried every butcher shop and grocery store I could think of and bought several hams a year and no matter the cost I could never find a ham that had half the qualities of the one he had. This Christmas we had planned to have 11 people over for Christmas dinner and we wanted it to be a dinner no one would forget. We polled the guest to be and they all wanted a ham dinner. Back to the internet, there were very few companies I have not tried and been disappointed by. I found Amana meats and read around 50 reviews. Out of 50 reviews I did not find one review under 4 stars. Hopeful I ordered a 15 lb. ham bone in. The ham arrived two days before Christmas, when I opened the box you could smell the smoke like you just walked into a smoke house filled with fresh hams. I cooked the ham according to the directions that came with the it. When I took the ham out of the oven and started to carve it, the bone fell right out with no effort at all. Between the aroma and the tenderness of the meat I knew we finely had found a ham that was just like the one my father-in-law had years ago. I was "wrong" The ham that came from AMANA was a 100 times better than the ham my father-in-law had all those years ago. I put nothing at all on the ham before cooking. Everyone of our guest myself and my wife could not believe how great the flavor of the ham was and how you could cut it with your fork. When you put it in your mouth it just melted. After all the years of searching for the best ham you could ever ask for, we found it. Everyone agreed this was the best ham on gods green earth. You could never ask for anything better, perfection can't be beet. We will never buy a ham from any other company. AMANA is the only company we will order from in the future. Thank you for making Christmas dinner the one meal we all never will forget!!!

This year we splurged and purchased a 15-pound Amana Whole Bone-in Ham for our Easter Dinner for 29 people to accompany my Maryland Crab Cake Casserole (we live in Baltimore blue crab country). I dry rubbed the ham with black pepper, garlic powder, and dry mustard, baked it at 325 F. to a 140 F. internal temperature, and finished it with a spiced honey glaze for 30 minutes. The ham was EXCELLENT at dinner next to the lovely crabmeat, but the leftover low fat medallions of sliced ham might be even more divine!! I'll try to make sure we can afford Amana's ham next Easter!

I'm Australian and I've eaten a lot of Ham in my time and it's one of my favorite meals (not to mention the soup I always make with the bone). Who says you have to limit it to special holidays in the Year ???? I won't be any more after discovering Amana Hams.

Great process for ordering and delivery of ham for Easter Dinner. I warmed it on my barbeque (indirect method) with a inch of apple juice in the pan and glazed it periodically with a apricot preserve/soy sauce mixture. The results were outstanding and easy for a holiday meal. The kids all headed home with leftovers and the bone was used for ham bone soup. Will definitely order again. Thanks.

First time ordering from Amana. I had ordered hams from other vendors in the past. The ham was excellent. Nice flavor, lean, and tender. Clearly from well raised swine. I hadn't had ham this good since I was a kid and we raised our own pigs.
In addition, the shipping fee was quite reasonable. I added in some bacon (also excellent) and some sausage ( not yet tested). This was a very good deal as there were substantial savings when adding these items along with the ham. I shall be returning.

Our building owner provides hams for our December Pot Luck, I as the manager have to warm & slice it up. This year they got 2 of your 7-9lb bone in hams. We fed about 35 people with enough left over for several to take plates home. I heard comments like, it's so tender it melts in my mouth, and it wasn't too salty, as well as very moist. We always have the smaller bone in ham for easter and sometimes Christmas, too. It always turns out perfectly. I fed five and sent home leftovers. I have plenty left for us and the bone will make an amazing soup. A great way to feed a group.

Amana bone-in hams are the best of the best of hams. The meat is smoked just right, the flavor is not too salty and super-tender. The secret is (and this is probably true for any ham) is cook "low and slow".
But you will not find a better ham at any price. I would recommend this product, and all Amana Meat Shop products to anyone with confidence.
